Spong Wins Best PR Diversity Initiative at PR Awards

Spong was awarded Best PR Diversity Initiative last night at the Diversity Distinction in PR Awards, sponsored by the PR Council in association with PRWeek. This award honors the firm’s successful efforts in its Diversity Inclusion Action League (DIAL) Committee to improve diversity through all levels and divisions of the organization with noted success in recruitment, retention and promotion.

“Diversity and inclusion will always be something we continue to strive for as it only improves our teams, certainly in a creative environment like ours where more diverse backgrounds lead to better ideas,” said Julie Batliner, recently named president of Spong. “A more diverse workplace means better business.”

The 5th annual Diversity Distinction in PR Awards held in NYC honors excellence in promoting diversity within the PR sector and rewards individuals and organizations that play a key role in strengthening and supporting PR practitioners with diverse backgrounds. The awarded firms are recognized as encouraging and inspiring diversity and inclusion across the PR workforce.
