For the second year in a row, Carmichael Lynch was named the Agency Champion of Inclusion at IPG’s 2015 Diversity and Inclusion Awards held in New York on July 30. Along with this honor, the agency also took home the awards for Chief Diversity Officer of the Year (Ed Huerta-Margotta) and Individual Champion of Inclusion (Stacy Janicki).
The agency received the recognition for its efforts in creating a diverse and inclusive environment for its employees. A few highlights include the agency’s DIAL Committee (Diversity and Inclusion Action League) which more than 25% of the agency actively participates in. The committee puts on such events as lunch and learns and family date nights, events with spoken word groups and theatre companies who address the D&I topic, and sponsors a women’s leadership group called Blaze. The agency is also an avid supporter of The BrandLab, an organization focused on diversifying the face and voice of the marketing industry (you can learn more at www.thebrandlab.org).
The number of hours and effort Carmichael Lynch puts into diversity and inclusion helped it standout among IPG agencies for the second year in a row as Champion of Inclusion.
Stacy Janicki was named IPG’s 2015 Individual Champion of Inclusion for her tireless efforts in supporting, sponsoring and nurturing these diversity and inclusion efforts. She is a founder of the women’s group, Blaze, moderated the MPLS MadWomen event hosted at Camrichael Lynch earlier this year, and is a trusted source on women in advertising for media outlets worldwide – she’s spoken with CNBC, BBC and the New York Times on the topic, among others.
