Dog Tested. Dog Approved.™

Subaru

Dogs love Subaru vehicles as much as their owners do. So we asked ourselves, where do dogs go to get a Subaru? Meet Grant Weber, Subaru Canine Sales Associate, introduced during Puppy Bowl IX. Fans can connect with him via Facebook, where there are apps to do everything from video chat with a canine expert to getting a dog driver’s license to matching the perfect Subaru to their dog’s breed. Because we know once you sit in a Subaru, you’ll stay.

Subaru Dogs 2013: Facebook App

Better than a rawhide wrapped in bacon-flavored rawhide, the “Dog Tested. Dog Approved.Facebook app helps match every dog with the Subaru that fits their lifestyle. Owners can also get their dog a driver’s license and see what their dog would look like behind the wheel of a Subaru. If there are any questions, our live video chat with a canine expert will help sniff out the answers. All of which can be posted to their social pages. Dog tested. Dog approved. Owner shared.

Subaru Dogs 2012: Jackknife

When dogs get the keys to the Subaru and a taste of freedom, anything can happen. In our latest “Dog Tested. Dog Approved.™” campaign, a motley crew of canine friends head off to explore the great outdoors. Like Subaru owners, dogs share the love of adventure that comes to life behind the wheel of a Subaru. From backcountry skiing to a day at the beach shredding waves, these four-legged friends grab all the gusto out of life they can, and just like their human counterparts, sometimes that works out and sometimes it doesn’t.

Subaru Dogs 2011: Donuts

The “Dog Tested. Dog Approved.™” campaign was designed to resonate with Subaru owners and like-minded consumers. Subaru drivers are two times more likely than the average car owner to have a pet. As an alternative to buying airtime on the "big game", we ran these commercials on Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl. In the two years since their initial launch, they have racked up millions of YouTube hits and were voted the best automotive spots of the Super Bowl XLIV (even though they ran on another channel) by U.S. News and World report.
