Carmichael Lynch was named one of the 40 Best Places to Work 2014 by Advertising Age this week.
The combination of cultural initiatives (Carmichael Collective, Roofstage Pass, 13th Floor Film Festival), diversity and inclusion efforts (Diversity and Inclusion Action League, CEO Mike Lescarbeau’s 2014 MOSAIC Award, Carmichael Lynch named Agency Champion of Inclusion 2014), workplace environment (wi-fi enabled rooftop patio, Subarus and bikes available for employee use, shared community garden), hiring practices, benefits packages and salaries catapulted Carmichael Lynch to #16 on the list. Employee surveys also played a role, on which one staffer replied, “This is my first full-time job out of college, and I get the impression that everyone here wants me to grow and improve as a creative.”
“With hundreds of companies applying and going through the rigorous employer and employee survey process…the competition was tough,” said Natalie Zmuda, Deputy Managing Editor at Advertising Age. “The leadership teams we’ve honored have carefully, thoughtfully crafted a culture and a work environment that anyone would be lucky to be a part of.”
Carmichael Lynch CEO Mike Lescarbeau elaborated, “We’re proud of the culture we’re building here at Carmichael Lynch. It’s inclusive, creative, results-oriented, and we also have a lot of fun.”
